Aim high, Get Excited and Let's Go!

It’s that time of year when we reflect back on 2017 and gear up for a fantastic 2018! Yep…and that means our New Year’s Resolutions and setting our 2018 goals. We start to feel that refreshed energy that nothing is going to stop us this year. So let’s some lofty goals that stretch ourselves that make us a bit nervous and excited.

Here are 3 tips to meet and exceed your goals:

Write Down All Your 2017 Successes!

Writing down all your successes and accomplishments for 2017 is the best way to pump yourself up. I guarantee that you’ve accomplished far more than you think you have, so pat yourself on the back and use that FEELING of accomplishment to start 2018 with a huge bang. That sense of accomplishment feels really darn good!

Be Specific with Time frames and Milestones

Be as specific as possible with time frames and action steps to achieve your goals. Break down the goal into smaller milestones and celebrate your successes! This builds momentum for the next goal and the next and the next! Remember, it’s the FEELING of accomplishment that we desire in order to keep us marching forward towards the final goal!

Anticipate hiccups and challenges.

Yes, these will most likely occur. When you’re changing anything, it takes 2-3 weeks to change a habit or routine so be patient and disciplined. If the action steps or plan need to be changed…so what…just change it! Many of us hit the roadblock and give up since plan A didn’t work out. Just adjust plan A and move onward and forward.

And lo and behold, you’ve reached your goals and man o’ man, it FEELS good! Set em’ high, get excited, have a plan and make 2018 the best ever!
